Short Profile | MSc Civil Eng. ’81 (University of Belgrade, Hydrotechnical Department.) Pr. Eng. (ECSA) Also registered as a member of Mentoring Association of South Africa and of International Mine Water Association. These qualifications and associations provide a good indication of the career and excellences of this senior and highly accomplished professional. From ’94 to ’99 he was the Engineering Manager reporting to the CEO of Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA). Liaising with SA and Swazi governments he led the USD 270m Maguga Dam Project from preparing RFP’s to consulting engineers to completion in terms of FIDIC contracts. In addition to the 115m dam wall, the project included access roads, bridges, housing and hydro-electric power generation. He still considers this the major achievement of his career. He then spent three years on another major dam project in Mozambique before joining an Engineering Consulting and EPCM firm in South Africa, where he spent fourteen years responsible for an impressive array of projects for mines and utilities concerning water, sewerage and mine-water infrastructure. Since 2017 he has returned to do work in Belgrade, but resides in SA and remains ready to make a contribution in a domain that is of vital importance. |
